Synopsis
As American as baseball and apple pie, state and county fairs have been attracting crowds for more than 150 years. Although life has certainly changed since that first state fair was held in Syracuse, New York, in 1846, one thing is certain: you always see the tastiest cooking contests - whether it's the yummiest pie, the spiciest chili, or the sweetest fudge. In "Blue Ribbon USA", you'll find the best of the best. Each recipe, representing every state of the union, is a winner, from Mary's Sticky Biscuits, which won first place at the Alabama National Fair, to Coffee Cheesecake Pie with Coffee-Caramel Sauce, awarded a blue ribbon at the Central Wyoming Fair.
