Synopsis
This work provides a profile of 1500 prominent men and women in American religion ranging from Adventists to Zen Buddhists. The information is arranged in a single alphabet and includes the name, date and place of birth, date and place of death and religious affiliation of each person listed. The text also presents a narrative profile describing the individual's background and training and their contribution to the establishment, development and doctrine of his or her church. An index lists all churches, groups, people, publications and an appendix lists all profiled leaders by the churches, religious bodies and spiritual groups with which they are affiliated.
