About this title

Synopsis

Students will find biographical information on more than 100,000 modern novelists, poets, playwrights, journalists, and scriptwriters in Gale's "Contemporary Authors" (CA) series. A typical CA sketch includes the following headings: personal, address, career, writings, work in progress, and bibliographical/critical sources. CA also features a "sidelights" section and exclusive interviews. Interview subjects appearing in CA include Dave Barry, Sterling Seagrave, Maeve Binchy, John Woestendiek and Arnold Rampersad. Beginning with volume 128, the reader receives a CA index with every even-numbered original CA (and every odd-numbered "Contemporary Authors New Revision Series") that is ordered. The new index contains the same information previously found within CA volumes.
