Joseph Ratzinger is now Pope Benedict XVI. Thomas P. Rausch, SJ, is the T. Marie Chilton Professor of Catholic Theology at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. He has published extensively with fifteen books along with over 200 articles and reviews. Long involved in ecumenism, Father Rausch was a member of the U.S. Catholic/Southern Baptist Conversation 1994-2001 and appointed by the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity to the Catholic/World Evangelical Alliance Consultation (2001-2002). He cochairs the Los Angeles Catholic Evangelical Committee and the Theological Commission for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.
