The Experience of God: An Invitation To Do Theology is an exciting synthesis of topical issues such as experience and God, revelation and history, faith and unbelief. Theology emerges as an exciting adventure available to all. In this revised edition, the author contributes a new preface and uses inclusive language. In addition, at the end he has included questions for discussion and up-to-date suggestions for recommended reading. "The chief merit of this book lies in the skillful way in which the author has synthesized the central issues of fundamental theology and has thereby made a valuable contribution to the ongoing debate on the relationship between God, person and experience...[This] should be on the required reading list for introductory courses in theology and religious education." --The Living Light "...an excellent synthesis of various strands of theological thinking today. I recommend it to anyone who is interested in this new experiential approach to theology...." --Irish Theological Quarterly "...it provides a very satisfactory overview of the theology of experience-revelation-faith...." --The Furrow "...a handy text for an introductory theology course." --The Heythrop Journal +
