About the Author
Pamela Kirk Rappaport, who holds a Doctor of Theology degree from the University of Munich, is associate professor of theology and religious studies at St. John's University in New York City. Her last book was Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz: Religion, Art and Feminism, published by Continuum in 1999.
