12-Steps, Imaging Prayer, For Women & those feeling no power
When I wrote this book I was working both as a substance abuse counselor and on my own 12-Step program for my own dysfunctional alcoholic family of origin. I wanted people to discover the deeper dimensions of spirituality. I also wanted people to realize that "power" was a good thing when used properly. The problem is that many of us use it, or have had it used against us, improperly. Women and minorities have not been allowed to claim their power. In this book, I put "power" in a frame that does not make power itself "wrong". It is how we use power that determines its rightness or wrongness. Step Spirit has been a powerful tool for many when used both individually and in a group. May you be blessed by the words and exercises in the book.
