The fundamental premise underlying all the studies in this volume is the need to change assumptions and beliefs about education and how it is currently practiced and financed.

Margaret L. Plecki is emeritus professor and former director of the Center for the Study of Teaching and Policy at UW.

Ana M. Elfers is a research associate professor emeritus at the Center for the Study of Teaching and Policy at UW.

Aditi Rajendran is an assistant professor of organizational leadership, policy, and development at the University of Minnesota.
