Synopsis
Over the centuries almost all civilizations have worshipped at the shrine of one god or another. To their believers, these gods were truly superhuman in the sense that they far exceeded normal human beings in every way.
This is a virtual biographical dictionary of all the gods. Some of the defintions are pretty amusing, but the gods don't mind laughter at all. In fact, the evidence is strong that they invented it.
