Chapter one establishes a seven-fold approach-the Disciplers' Model-to Christian teaching. This model was developed in response to a question that would not let the author go-'How should I teach so that my learners will grow in the Lord?'

From my heart to yours...
CREATED TO LEARN introduces the Christian teacher to the world of educational psychology. Having taught courses in educational psychology at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary for over a decade, I firmly believe that fundamental principles of learning can be of great value to Christian teachers -- avoiding toxic classroom practices and embracing procedures which enhances learning.
CTL provides insight into the most recent research in personality and cognitive development, learning theory systems (behavioral, cognitive, humanistic), motivation, testing, and classroom climate. Chapter One introduces the "Discipler's Model" -- a Christian framework for teaching -- and ends with Chapter Fifteen "The Educational Psychology of Jesus." Biblical examples and illustrations are included in every chapter.
This graduate level text is suitable for advanced teacher training in churches, for Christian school teachers, and graduate students and faculty.
