Lifelong Motor Development, Fifth Edition, is a comprehensive, science-based text covering theory and research of physical growth and motor behavior across the life span. The text is not limited to theory but focuses on the application of motor development concepts. The fifth edition of the text features a unique developmental systems perspective, which advocates that development is the product of dynamic interacting processes between the various biological systems and environmental contexts.
