Dr Kenneth Henshall is Professor of Japanese in the Department of Asian Studies at the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand. His broad-ranging research interests related to Japan include language, literature, history, society, ethics, and management techniques. He has also published with Tuttle Publishing A Guide to emembering Japanese Characters and A Guide to Learning Hiragana and Katakana, and is the lead author of the revised edition (2003) of A Guide to Reading and Writing Japanese.
