Munk was a longtime Portland, Oregon radical labor activist. After graduating from Reed college in 1956, Munk worked as a longshoreman and served in the US Army during the Korean war. In the years following, Munk was a catalyst for radical political organizing in Portland, a key figure in the 'Little Beirut' era. He was the author of the 2007 book, *The Portland Red Guide: Sites and Stories of Our Radical Past*. 180pp. 8vo, sewn binding in black cloth, gilt spine lettering.
