International in scope, each discussion contains expert analysis of policy in countries as diverse as the UK, Australia, Yugoslavia, Israel and the US. The papers are taken from the conference on Housing, Policy and Urban Innovation (Amsterdam 1988) organized under the auspices of the Ad Hoc Committee on Housing and the Built Environment of the International Sociological Association.
