John Sorensen is the executive director of the Abbott Sisters Project in New York City. He has written and lectured extensively on the lives and work of the Abbott sisters. Judith Sealander is a professor of history at Bowling Green State University. Her most recent book is The Failed Century of the Child: Governing America's Young in the Twentieth Century.
