John R (Jack) Levison is Professor of New Testament at Seattle Pacific University. His other books include Fresh Air: The Holy Spirit for an Inspired Life, The Spirit in First-Century Judaism, and Jesus in Global Contexts. He is also the founding editor of the series Ekstasis: Religious Experience from Antiquity to the Middle Ages. Ronald Herms is Assistant Professor of Bible at Northwest University, Kirkland, Washington.
