About the Author

Marilyn Chandler McEntyre is adjunct Professor of Medical Humanities at the UC Berkeley-USCF joint medical program and a fellow at the Gaede Institute, Westmont College. Among her recent books are Reading Like a Serpent: What the Scarlet A Is About, Patient Poets: Illness from Inside Out, and Caring for Words in a Culture of Lies.
