About the Author

Ogden was Professor of Old Testament and Hebrew in Taiwan Theological College for seven years before accepting an appointment as Translations Consultant with the United Bible Societies in Taiwan.

Deutsch taught for many years at Chung Chi College, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He currently is Secretary for Chinese Churches in Asia for the Basel Mission in Switzerland.

Knight has taught Old Testament studies and Semitic languages at various schools around the world and has served as coeditor of the International Theological Commentary series.

Holmgren is Professor of Biblical Literature, North Park Theological Seminary, Chicago, IL.
