Synopsis

Growing up in a family of five as an energetic preteen, Carmen Browne is determined to live her life to please God. So far we followed Carmen as she began to face both major and minor life issues such as an unexpected family move, her big brother's search for his birth family, and the tragedy of domestic violence. As she learns to trust God to work all things out for good, Carmen learns a lot about herself, too: being popular doesn't guarantee you true friends, being honest up front saves a lot of hurt, and sometimes self-confidence is just bossiness in disguise.

Now in this fifth and final volume of the popular series, Carmen begins to face the uncharted waters of adolescence. She discovers that her changing moods and growing body bring a brand new set of challenges to her life.

From the Back Cover

On her journey into adolescence, eleven-year-old Carmen Browne finds herself facing a number of different challenges. Even when her changing moods and growing body could easily be distracting, Carmen must learn to trust God. Whether she’s stuck at a sleepover where the hostess shows an inappropriate movie or is surrounded by classmates gossiping about her family, Carmen knows she must take a stand for what is right.

What truly amazes Carmen is that God wants to use her—not just her mom or dad—to minister His love to others, including her best friends, Riana, Layah, and Imani.

By the end of sixth grade, Carmen finds out that growing up isn’t a fairy tale, but as she walks through her own life story, she can truly be content living as God’s Happy Princess.
