This - in my opinion - is the best of the Caffery thrillers so far. And it has a totally hair-raising ending. So be warned: putting this book down is not an option; it wasn't for me when I first read it, and it's really, really not now. Mo has always had a bit of a thing for Jack Caffery - see her afterword in the back of the paperback of Ritual - and the result is that he's one of the most interesting murder detectives working in the genre today.
