About the Author
Don C Benjamin teaches biblical studies and religion at Arizona State University in Tempe. His previous books include Deuteronomy and City Life (1983), Social World of Ancient Israel, 1250-587 B.C.E. (1993), and Old Testament Parallels (2nd ed.,1997).
