About the Author

Series editor Lawrence Kobilinsky, Ph.D., is a professor of forensics at John Jay College of Criminal Justice and a member of New York's Council for Science Education. He has been actively involved in introducing the study of forensics to the New York City school system's criminal justice program.

Louis Levine is professor of biology at the City College of New York. He received his Ph.D. with Theodosius Dobzhansky at Columbia University. His research has focused on chromosomal and behavioral studies of natural populations of "Drosophila pseudoobscura,"
