Mary Hull attended Brown University and has a special interest in black and women's history. She is a native of Pomfret, Connecticut. Gloria Blakely graduated from the Howard University honors program and is a member of the Philadelphia Association of Black Journalists in Philadelphia, where she currently resides. Dale Evva Gelfand has been a writer and freelance editor for some 25 years. She has written a number of books about nature and gardens - including Grow a Hummingbird Garden, A Little Book of Flowers, Building Bat Houses, and Creating Habitat for Backyard Birds. She lives in upstate New York.
