Author's comments, Summer of '99
I hope that anyone who has read the book has learned something about Springsteen and his remarkable career. I know that the 1999 tour has exposed Bruce to a whole new generation of listeners. When I wrote this book in 1993 it seemed that his career was on a downswing, his music was less accesible and stimulating, and he seemed to be doing so quite deliberately. Now, in 1999, he seems to be reaching out once again to a broader audience. If any youger fans wish to share their opinions and views, I would love to hear from you. Thanks.
