About the Author

Chris Pirillo is the host on Call for Help, TechTV's fully interactive call-in show that takes the stress out of computing and the Internet for both beginners and pros. Prior to TechTV, Pirillo published and distributed Lockergnome.com, a free email newsletter network tackling technology tips with a sense of humor. He is crazy about computers and personal technology.

Kate Botello is co-host on TechTV's gaming show, Extended Play, which explores some of the hottest games on the market and previews games in development. She is the former co-host of The Screen Savers, TechTV's interactive show geared toward the tech enthusiast. Botello helped TechTV (then ZDTV) win a Bay Area Emmy Award in 1998 for her early work as Tilde, TechTV's virtual character. That same year, she was instrumental in winning a bronze medal in the New York Festival. In 1999, Botello was nominated as one of the Top 25 Women on the Web.
