Edith M. Guyton is professor and chair of the Early Childhood Department at Georgia State University and an editor of the Association of Teacher Educators Yearbook of Research on Teacher Education. Her most recent articles, published in various teacher education journals, have focused on constructivist teacher education. University-based teacher induction programs also have been an area of development and research. Julie D. Rainer is an associate professor in Early Childhood Education at Georgia State University and currently coordinates the Educational Specialist Program. Her research interests include teacher development and constructivist theory.
