A Complete Guide to Protecting Your Pooch, Indoors and Out

We know their favorite spots to scratch. We know which funny noises make them cock their heads. But, do we know how to keep our dogs safe? The truth is, we often do not consider what hazards lurk in our home and garden until an incident occurs. Each year, thousands of dogs and puppies are seriously hurt and even killed by a host of easily preventable accidents. The Safe Dog Handbook teaches you how to ensure a safe home and outdoor experience for your dogs. Full of practical information about everything from poisonous everyday foodstuffs and ornamental plants to choking hazards, this book is an essential guide for any dog owner.

Seemingly innocent everyday items and routines can cause serious accidents. A few chewed leaves from an azalea bush can poison a small dog. A chew-happy puppy is not likely to differentiate between a rope toy and a lamp cord. However, prevention and preparedness are easily achieved through the information in The Safe Dog Handbook—without becoming a “safety freak.” Thorough understanding of canine hazards will breed comfort and reassurance and assuage fear.
The Safe Dog Handbook provides vital, easily accessible information that any caring dog owner should have.
