From the Author

Ten Homicide Cases I Could Never Forget
Many of my readers have asked me to write a book that had many shorter cases in it, something they could read on the bus or at the beach. A Rage to Kill is a response to their requests.

Over the past 30 years, I have researched 1400 murder cases. Some are so unusual that they stand out in my memory. People kill one another for all manner of reasons: jealousy, revenge, anger, in the act of committing another felony, over love gone wrong--or even accidentally. However, the cases in this sixth volume of my True Crime Files demonstrate some of the most bizarre reasons for murder I ever encountered.

There are two long pieces. The first is an inside look at the mysterious crash of a huge bus that went off the tallest bridge in Seattle in November, 1998: "A Bus to Nowhere." The second is called "Profile of a Spree Killer." You will also find "That Was No Lady," "Ruby, Don't Take Your Love to Town," "To An Athlete Dying Young," "The Killer Who Planted His Own Clues," " As Close As a Brother," and many other true cases.

Some of these case studies are very sad and some still strike me as absolutely unbelievable.

I hope you find them interesting!
