Simplistic Amazon comments
I'd like to elaborate a bit on Amazon's summary of my book. Chapter 1 sets the background for understanding why software components will be a revolution. I do this by first showing where the software world comes from so that we can understand where it is heading next. On the topic of the toolkit classes, these are quite simply all the generic methods that I explicitly migrated from their original classes to new toolkit classes. This so that I and my readers can reuse these methods. Other books pay a lot of lip-service to reuse issues; my book actually DOES it, and shows you how simple it is to adopt a reuse mentality. Anyway, the above two points are just icing on the cake: the book gets thoroughly into JavaBeans technicalities and dispenses with the vague stuff you'll find in other books. I give you working code to show you how some difficult aspects work (aspects that lesser books conveniently gloss over).
