Why we wrote this book
Simon Roberts and I wrote this book because we thought we were the best people for the job. We already had a track record: we wrote "Java 1.1 Developer's Handbook" together. The Handbook has been very well received, and at 4.4 pounds it weighs in as the heaviest Java book in publication. So what qualified us to write the Study Guide? Well, Simon composed the questions that appear in the Certification Exam, and I consulted on the project. So while we can't come out and tell you what's on the exam, we can definitely point you in precisely the right direction. Good luck on the exam!
