About the Author

About the Editors Tatsuo Itoh was the editor–in–chief of IEEE Microwave and Guided Wave Letters from 1991 to 1994. He has held numerous positions including president of IEEE MTT Society in 1990; the chairman of USNC/URSI Commission D from 1988 to 1990; the vice chairman of International Commission D from 1991 to 1993; and the chairman of the same Commission from 1993 to 1996. Dr. Itoh is also a Fellow of the IEEE.

Bijan Houshmand joined the Jet Propulsion Laboratory at the California Institute of Technology in 1994. He was a visiting assistant professor at the University of Illinois, Urbana–Champaign, and the University of California, Los Angeles, from 1990 to 1994. Dr. Houshmand is a member of URSI Commission B.
