This book examines how the witch wound-an intergenerational, archetypal, and cultural trauma rooted in patriarchal history-continues to shape psychological development and restrict individuation across genders. The central research question asks how the archetype of the witch, historically weaponized to silence, scapegoat, and divide, informs contemporary identity formation and emotional life. Using a hermeneutic methodology, this study engages symbolic material, myth, history, and personal reflection to illuminate how the witch wound has been internalized as shame, suppression of instinct, erosion of trust, increased emotional disconnection, fragmentation of agency, quelling of healing knowledge, and fear of authentic expression. Findings suggest that the witch wound does not belong to women alone, but functions as a collective psychic inheritance that constrains all genders within rigid roles and fractures self-perception. Clinical implications emphasize the therapeutic importance of symbolic work, shadow integration, and archetypal reclamation in restoring agency and fostering psychological wholeness.
