Sixty-nine papers from the October 2003 conference on high performance computing and communication present recent research on compiling for embedded systems, fault tolerance, parallel programming models, peer-to-peer systems ad hoc networks, grid computing, Bluetooth, routing, scheduling, and compiler optimization. Three of the papers discuss parallel virtual file system (PVFS) over InfiniBand, a subnet management mechanism for InfiniBand networks, and a new proposal to fill in the InfiniBand arbitration tables. Other topics include enabling partial cache line prefetching through data compression, space and time optimal parallel sequence alignments, parallel biometrics computing using mobile agents, and a recovery algorithm for reliable multicasting in reliable networks.
