Found in this book is a collection of strange and terrible news of ghosts, apparitions, monstrous births, showers of wheat, judgments of God, and other prodigious and fearful happenings as told in Broadside Ballads of the years 1624-1693. These ballads are reproduced exactly, thus the antiquated spelling and punctuations are followed, except that in some few cases the points at the end of lines are changed and that unmistakable misprints are corrected without notice. Illustrated throughout.
