Synopsis

This work is a discourse of sovereign use and service in these times; not only against that King of errors, and heresies antiscriptural, who hath already destroyed the faith of many, and hath all the faith in the world yet remaining, in chafe, but also against all such inward suggestions and secret underminings of Satan, by which he privily attempts the ruin of the precious faith and hope, wherewith the Saints have built up themselves with much spiritual industry and care. Together with two tables annexed, the former, of the contents and several arguments more largely prosecuted in the treatise; the latter, of such text of scripture which some light is given therein. Written in Old English. Due to the age of the original we reproduced, some pages may be spotty or faded.
