Synopsis
George Washington's soldiers were tired and hungry. The British Army had forced Washington to retreat into Pennsylvania. American colonists desperately needed a victory in their fight for independence. In the middle of a fierce winter storm, Washington daringly crossed the Delaware River to attack the British Army.
