Henri Parens is professor of psychiatry at the Jefferson Medical College, and training and supervising analyst at the psychoanalytic Center of Philadelphia. He is the author or editor of numerous books, including two with Jason Aronson: Does God Help: Developmental and Clinical Aspects of Religious Belief, Real and Imaginary Fathers: Development, Transference and Healing, The Development of Aggression in Early Childhood, and Aggression in Our Children: Coping with It Constructively. Afaf Mahfouz, Ph.D., chairs the International Psychoanalytic Association Committee on the United Nations, a group dedicated to bringing psychoanalysis to the United Nations. Stuart W.
