Michelle Black has written three previous novels set in the Victorian West, including An Uncommon Enemy and The Second Glass of Absinthe (forthcoming) both published by Forge. She is a lawyer who publishes a Cheyenne language course in a nonprofit partnership with a linguist on the Northern Cheyenne Reservation. Michelle divides her time between her homes in Kansas City and Divide, Colorado.
