David Baird is a writer, editor, and translator based in Austin, Texas. He was born and bred in Houston, though he spent part of his childhood in Morelia, Mexico. He has contributed to several works about Texas and Mexico, including Frommer’s Mexico. Edie Jarolim was a senior editor at Frommer’s in New York before she indulged her Southwest fantasies and moved to Tucson, Arizona. She has since written about the Southwest and Mexico for a variety of national publications, ranging from America West Airlines Magazine, Art & Antiques, and Brides to the New York Times Book Review and the Wall Street Journal. Don & Barb Laine have traveled extensively throughout the West, spending as much time as possible in the outdoors, particularly the Gulf of Mexico and the Rocky Mountains. In addition to this book, they have authored or contributed to Frommer’s Colorado, Frommer’s Utah, and Frommer’s National Parks of the American West. Eric Peterson, a Denver–based freelance writer, has contributed to Frommer’s Colorado and has authored Frommer’s Yellowstone & Grand Teton National Parks. When he’s not on the road or writing about travel, Peterson covers Colorado’s business scene and Denver’s punk–rock underbelly. Neil E. Schlecht was reared in North Dallas. He attended Plano Senior High School, returned for graduate school at UT–Austin, and married a Texan. Now living in northwestern Connecticut, he is the author and co–author of more than a dozen travel guides, including Frommer’s Peru, Spain For Dummies, and Frommer’s Cuba. His Texas heroes are Lance Armstrong, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Jimmie Dale Gilmore.
