Alexander Graham Bell was born in Scotland but spent most of his life in Canada and the United States, where he invented several devices for the transmission of sound. Brian Williams has taught in both primary and secondary schools. He worked as Editor of Children's Britannica and is now a full-time writer. David Antram studied at Eastbourne College of Art and then worked in advertising for 15 years before becoming a full-time artist.
