'Claudia S. Plottel, MD, FACP, FCCP holds the rank of Clinical Associate Professor at the New York University School (NYU) of Medicine, where she is a member of the division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. Dr. Plottel earned her Bachelor’s degree from Bryn Mawr College and her MD from the Medical College of Pennsylvania. She pursued her post-graduate training in Internal Medicine, followed by a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Bellevue Hospital Center in her home town of New York City. A Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians as well as of the American College of Physicians, Dr. Plottel has an active interest in medical teaching and writing, with a focus on the diagnosis and treatment of lung diseases in general and of adult asthma in particular. She is the co-author, with B. Robert Feldman, MD of 100 Questions & Answers About Your Child’s Asthma (Jones & Bartlett Learning, 2008), which has been translated into Spanish as 100 Preguntas y repuestas acerca del asma en los niÑos (Editorial MAD Eduforma, 2008). The first edition of 100 Questions & Answers About Asthma, first published in 2005 is now also available in a Greek language edition (Malliaris, 2008).
