The Essentials of Managed Health Care 2nd Edition is extracted from the larger parent text, The Managed Health Care Handbook, 3rd Edition. As such, it is aimed at the post-graduate students. It also serves as a useful introduction to managed care for individuals who are not going to be working extensively in the field. Because it is an extract of a comprehensive work, the serious student or reader should look at the parent text. Comments to me are always welcome and will be considered (if not necessarily acted upon) during future revisions.
