It's Professor Fizzy, champion of healthy meals, versus Fast Food Freddy in a Super Supper Throwdown! Whose meal will be more delicious?
Welcome to Fizzy's Lunch Lab, a kitchen where Professor Fizzy and his friends cook up delicious, nutritious meals while learning the science behind healthy foods. A cooking showdown between Professor Fizzy and his nemesis, Fast Food Freddy, owner of Greasy World, is about to begin. The challenge: cook the most delicious food as decided by three kid judges. If Fizzy wins, Freddy will have to serve Fizzy's healthy meal at his restaurant for a month. Both teams prepare their meals -- Fizzy a tasty, balanced one and Freddy a fatty, greasy one. This lighthearted easy reader is a companion to the PBS Kids web series Fizzy's Lunch Lab and works very well as a stand-alone. The nonfiction format succeeds with its bright and energetic layout. The kid-friendly cartoons cheerfully cover topics such as proper mealtime etiquette, how to effectively maneuver the supermarket, and how food affects our bodies. Each page is filled with fun facts and easy do-it-yourself recipes. The writing is age appropriate and informal. ... This will have broad appeal with even the youngest readers.
