About the Author

David Wortman writes about travel, the outdoors, and the environment from his home in Seattle, Washington. An avid hiker, he has written for a variety of publications including Sierra Magazine, High Country News, Mother Earth News, E Magazine, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, and the Portland Oregonian. He was also the revision author for the second edition of Hiking Washington.
