About the Author

Oregon native Tom Barr has traveled extensively throughout the state on assignments for Reader's Digest Books, Fodor's Travel Guides, Northwest Mileposts, and The Rotarian magazine. He is also the author of Unique Arizona, Unique Georgia, and Unique Washington: A Guide to the State's Quirks, Charisma, and Character and has written the text for two photo books, Portrait of Oregon and Portrait of Washington. He lives in Marysville, Washington.
