From the Author

A Wonderful Summer of National Park Lodges
In the summer of 1996 we took an 11,000-mile trip through 26 states and 26 national park areas. We stayed in 36 different national park lodges and visited another 44 lodges. The Complete Guide to the National Park Lodges is the result of this wonderful trip. The lodges range from the wonderful Ahwahnee in Yosemite Valley to rustic cabins in Kings Canyon National Park. We have spent over 25 summers visiting America's national parks, although this was the first trip devoted solely to national park lodges.
