Jin Pyn Lee is a talented new author from Singapore who has been hailed as a National Talent by the press and media of her country. Animal Planet recently recognized Jin Pyn Lee's creative talents. Selected from 34,000 applicants worldwide, Jin Pyn and five other amateur filmmakers starred in one of the biggest Animal Planet's original productions, Unearthed, in April of 2007. For her final documentary, Jin Pyn followed the elephants in the Shamwari Game Reserve, which employs a system where elephants can remain wild and humans can still profit. Jin Pyn Lee currently works as the Production Researcher for Moving Visuals and resides in Singapore. She plans to donate a portion of her profits to the Elephant Nature Foundation.
