Microsoft Frontpage 2000 Fast & Easy is a good choice for anyone who wants to get to grips with Microsoft's Web authoring tool. It takes you through setting up the program, customising the screen layout, site management, page creation and working with hyperlinks. It then goes on to look at the formatting and creation of tables, lists, frames and forms. Techniques for producing dynamic effects and the integration of image tools with the Frontpage package also get covered in Part IV. The final section, Part V, examines how sites can be updated and published, and the appendix has a useful list of keyboard shortcuts and a comprehensive glossary of technical jargon.
The layout of the book is straightforward and reflects the diagrammatic, step-by-step nature of the series. One word of warming: the whole of the book's interior is produced in blue ink, which takes a bit of getting used to. Still, for those looking for a very basic introduction to the Seattle giant's site design package, this book is as good as any. --Josh Smith
