Synopsis
As the spearhead of the Army's special operations forces, the Rangers are involved in the most dangerous and dirty business imaginable. They often engage in close-quarters fights and they require weapons and equipment that are durable yet allow them to travel light, be quick on their feet, and move with the utmost stealth. In superb photography shot by a Ranger veteran, here are the weapons that help make the Rangers one of the Army's premiere fighting units. The weaponry and equipment includes: M4s, M16s, M240B machine guns, mortars of every caliber, grenade launchers, stun and flash grenades, Kevlar body armor, night vision equipment, and more.

About the Author
Russ Bryant is a veteran of 1st Ranger Battalion and F/51 LRS from 1985 to 1989. Following his service, Russ attended Savannah College of Art and Design and earned a photography degree he has put to good use shooting Rangers in the tactical environment. He has photographed the 75th Ranger Regiment extensively in recent years, including Rangers of 1st Battallon at Hunter Army Air Field, Rangers of 3rd Ranger Battalion at Fort Benning and the 2nd Ranger Battalion at Fort Lewis, Washington. Bryant also deployed with 3rd Ranger Battalion to Germany.
