About the Authors

Belinda Weber is an author and editor who has written many children's books on natural history, science, history and geography including titles in the I Wonder Why and Discover Science series for Kingfisher.

Chris Pellant is based in North Yorkshire and began writing books in the 1980s. He has written a number of earth science books, and also runs his own photographic library with his wife Helen. He is a keen conservationists, studying and recording everything from plants and lepidoptera to marine life. He is the author of Discover Science: Rocks and Fossils.
